I have been at Quail Ridge for 6 years now - that's right 6! So, I know what I am talking about.
- location is great, since I love Plainsboro for its neatness and lack of run-down commercial areas, I continue living in the area, though my commute to work is more than an hour each way.
- leasing office has cute women (and we know why, don't we') who sweet talk you when you are looking for an apartment for the first time, but give you the coldest treatment once you already a resident. In the probably 10 times I have spoken to them after , they were good only once (and that was today, 10/28/03).
- Management office is the worst, but then again in my last 10 years of renting, I have had only one good Management office. It seems to me that they automatically assume that we are all deadbeats who can't afford our own homes.
- the repair folks have been great, no complaints, and they were friendly too. May be I was lucky.
- one groundsman was particularly horrible; he wouldn't even back up his truck when I had to pull out my car from the parking lot to go to work. What was he doing' He was busy flirting with one of the stay-at-home moms. When my car's bumper brushed against his bumper, his question was "can't you see my big fat truck'" you get the picture. What more can you expect from high-school dropouts'
- maintenance of the environment is not as good as some others in the area, particularly Hunters Glen, but then again Quail Ridge has cheaper rents, so can't really complain. We get what we pay for.
- they don't let you go on a month-to-month lease after the first year of renting. This is the only such apartments complex I have lived in during my past 10 years. They are very inflexible even when it comes to signing the lease - they require the lease renewal to be signed 2.5 months(75 days) in advance, which is ridiculous.
