I lived in QR for one year, while I was waiting for my house to be built. I was on the third floor. Everything was fine until a rude incosiderate person moved in the apt below me. He was always **blasting** his music all through the night. It was so bad that I had to wear earplugs to bed and even with earplugs, I could still hear the thumping of the bass. Ridiculous. Rude. I reported this to management a number of times. They presumably would send the warning letter, but the music never stopped. They should have some sort of policy where if you get a number of warnings then they start the eviction process. I pity the person who is moving into my old apt. You pay rent for that'
Parking in my building was always a problem. There are not enough parking spots for my building.
The utility bills are ridiculous. I paid $130 for January....hello' The heat is turned off all day long when I am at work and this was a really warm January. Why so high for a 1-BD apt' Very inefficient system. And the dryer....
Also, the water bill thing is bogus. I paid $35/month, regardless of how much water I used. My lease expired in February, but my house was ready in January, so I moved out one month early. I wasn't even living there in February. My final water bill for February was $45!!! Huh''''
Last thing, I saved the best for last, I required maintenance a few times and I found that they were basically incompetent. The most amusing incident happened shortly before I moved out. When I got home from work, the CO detector was beeping. I called emergency and they said that someone who come by immediately. Well, 2 hours later, the guy comes by and pulls the CO detector from the ceiling and tells me that he does not a have a replacement and won't be able to install one until the next day. I'm thinking...isn't this a serious thing' The back of the C) detector says if the device is beeping to vacate the premises immediately and call the fire department. So, I express my concerns about not having a replacement for that night and he proceeds to take a BIG sniff and tells me that he doesn't smell anything and that I should be fine without the CO detecter. Um, hello....Carbon Monoxide is the silent deadly killer! It was so comical yet pathetic that I had to laugh.
