I couldn't agree more. So far the only pleasant interaction I've had has been with the actual maintenance staff themselves, not the answering service, who interrupts you, cuts you off mid-sentence, and generally acts annoyed at being forced to do their job when you call. The leasing office blatantly ignores the ringing phones (I've witnessed it on more than one occasion in person). One time I actually waited 20 minutes for a leasing office representative to get off the phone, who was engaged in a personal conversation and told me to "hold on." Once you sign a lease, they're essentially done with you and bothered by you. Thank goodness for online bill payment or nothing would ever get done.
