Where to I start' The endless supply of bugs is nerveracking. No matter what you do, they come in, especially on the 1st floor. Maybe not as much on 2nd/3rd floor. Big spider and crickets on a daily basis. What else. About a month after I moved in I noticed a leak near my back door. Called maintenance, no response. A few days later I noticed water damage in the walls near the back door. Again, no response. Finally almost 6 weeks later (meanwhile, that area near my back door is soaked and smelly) they finally get back to me and say a contractor will fix the damage in 2 weeks. So basically, took them 8 weeks to fix a serious leak. They had to replace the entire area near the back door for not only my apartment, but the two above me. What else. Dog crap everywhere. Dogs barking all the time. Parking lot lights go out regularly. Terrible heating/cooling system. We're talking something from the 70's. No thermostat to control temp, so basically you have to keep going back and forth to the unit and turning it either up or down. And it's very loud, much like the dishwasher. The washer and dryers are not full size so you have to do laundry all the time. And drying, forget about it. Takes almost 3 hours to dry one large load of clothers, almost 2 hours for a small load of clothes. The only good thing is that our rent is cheap beacuse we signed up during a rent special last winter. Parking is terrible. Some people have 5 cars and there are no assigned spots. Come home after midnight, you might be parking in the next building over. Other than that, I would stay way from this and all the apartments in Plainsboro.

This may come as a surprise, but management doesn't "plant" the bugs just to annoy you. Bugs come into apartments, houses, stores, office building, etc. If you don't like them, call an exterminator. Did you not see the washer and dryer before you moved? You can't complain about something that was sitting in front of your face when you looked at the place? |

If we owned the house we would definitely call the exterminator. But since we pay rent EVERY month, we expect a bug-free apartment to ask the least.
