I have never been more displeased with a rental experience in my entire life. It's an abomination the amount of money this apartment complex and Equity Rentals will take from you if you decide to move out. The company makes it the much more of an arduous process than is necessary. I find that none of the allegations against me upon my departure are founded in honesty or fairness. I never received my security deposit due to "Apartment Not Cleaned" when the apartment was scrubbed up and down before I left. Not only did they not return the security, they claimed I owe them 60 dollars for utilites for a month when I was in no way occupying the residence. The complex is a dreary place; not a community at all. If you want a good quality of life, I absolutely advise AGAINST even bothering to look at Ravens Crest. The whole area is a waste of time, but if you are looking for a good place to give up and die alone, then Ravens Crest is right for you. All in all, keep you sanity and your hard earned money safe by going somewhere else.

also i forgot to pass along if your interested i know plainsboro keeps a tight leash on these rental companies and they have some type of renters committee that you can go to if you feel that you have been wronged and they will look into the issue and provide assistance if they can prove it. i know some people that have taken their complaints to the township and it has made quite a difference for them.

They tried to do the same thing to my girlfriend w/ the cleaning charges - fortunately I had taken pictures of EVERYTHING - and they had to drop that. Yeah - forget that place - there are much better options out there - especially in this economy.

Hope others will learn from your experience. Just as important as getting pictures immediately upon leaving are getting pictures immediately before you move in. Dont forget to take a couple of clear pictures of each room from angles that show all. Also important is getting clear pictures of inside of appliances (unless you want to pay someone to clean the oven or fridg) Document everything with emails, keep a copy and if using a Realtor copy them.
