I'm starting to wonder about this site overall, as most posters are quite negative.
I've been here a year, and it is very nice. I'm not paid to say anything here (least of all anything positive), and I don't work for the place! It's a bit pricey (nearly $1000!) -- but so is everything -- so grab your checkbook and get with the program! haha
The lady upfront is very nice. Never had any problems. She's just delightful. I never see her except chance meetings on weekends.
The grounds are clean. If there are papers scattered around, they'll be gone when you get home. The sidewalks are plowed quickly after snowstorms. No problems there.
The pool is included in the rent and it's great. No problems there either.
You can hear the person above you, but you can work it out with them if they're too noisy. I'm afraid it's a fact of life being an apartment dweller....
I walked around before moving here and asked people coming home from work if they liked it. Talked to about 6-7 people. Everyone "loved" it. One 20-year-old woman had a friend who loved it and she herself couldn't wait to move in.
Maintenance can enter your apt. w/o giving you any notice. It's in the lease. I guess it's a NJ law or something' Everyone in NJ says to get used to it, as every place has the same stipulation: Maintenance can enter at any time. You'll never know they were there! There are NO mud tracks on the carpet or anything. (A place in New Brunswick said maintenance would leave dirty footprints on their carpet. Not here!)
There's a supermarket a block away, and it's pretty quiet overall. The bathrooms may not have "modern" colors or whatever, but they're functional (toilet, sink, mirror, bath/shower, cabinet). What else should they have''
Overall, very nice.
