I have been here since the end of 2004 and let me say this place is a dump. Being handicapped, since I have moved in, there is only one handicapped space in this entire complex, the railing near the stairs by the parking area for my building has been missing(I think it is leaning up against the building)My apartment has had it's share of roaches and mice. The bathroom needs to be redone. There are cracks where there should be caulking in the bathtub/shower area, the paint is bubbling off the wall above the toilet,(possible water leak from above apt')
My refrigerator has been dripping water on its inside since I moved in and the air conditioner was replaced since it didn't work, but replaced with a used old model, which did work, for about a month before it started leaking water all over the wood floor. The lighting fixtures in the bathroom have got to be out of code for the building inspector as well as the electrical in the bathroom It looks like a fire waiting to happen. The management here does not care about anything and has not even attempted to have someone correct the problems I have mentioned to him. His maintenence staff has no clue as to what they are doing. They just know how to unlock doors and change locks!! God forbid if you are late in paying rent. You get a note in your door. My lease has been up for two months and I was never asked to sign a new one, but my rent has been raised $50.00!!!! I now pay over $1000.00 a month to live in this hole. If I could get someone in the local or even county government involved in this I would, but who knows if they would even investigate this manager and the owner. I could probably find a better apartment in downtown Newark!!!!!!
