That last person must live in an "alternate reality" Skytop. Like the person who says he lives in a Studio Apt. for $735 in this complex. Both just don't exist.

The supermarkets send a truck around every Saturday morning, early, to collect the "stolen" carts and make almost as big a racket picking them up than the kids do racing around in them on Friday night.

And we know everybody in London Terrace without living there. This is their after hours playground. The staff here doesn't care if they hang out here, drink, smoke, party, etc. at least two weekend nights a month.

It's also a refuge for skateboarders from the rules and regulations of that very nice skate park in town. Sayreville has a strict ordinance that says everybody under 17 must wear a helmet if they skateboard, ride a bike, rollerskate. But the staff here ignores that and lets everybody do what they want, including in and around heavy car traffic areas of the development.

Excuse me. This website is not to post trash and that is all that you are doing. First of all, you are correct about the studio apartments in Skytop. Skytop offers 1 bedroom or 2 bedroom apartments. Heat and hot water are included in the reant prices.
Second, the truck from the Supermarket has no reflection on Skytop. The Supermarket is responsible for these carts and if you have an issue with them, take it up with them, not the complex.
Third, if you have an issue with kids riding around in shopping carts, I think then it is time to complain to their parents.
Fourth, what playground? I have never seen gangs, groups of juvinelle diliquents or kids riding around in shopping carts. I have lived in Skytop Gardens for 24 years and never ever had one issue with kids. From time to time, you do have the ocassional Newspaper seller, and I just tell them that this is private property and there is a rule about soliciting and if the have further questions, to speak with management.
Fifth, I have never seen anyone from London Terrace "hanging out" here. I walk the complex in the evening for exercise and never have seen or heard any loud noises or such.
Sixth, Sayreville does have an ordinance about helmet laws, as does the State. This does not have to be inforced by Skytop, since Skytop is not the law. Sayreville Police Department should be monitoring these actions and again, if you have that much of an issue with this, call the Police Department.
Seventh, how is it the staff's responsiblity to control kids playing around cars and such? That would be the parents responsibility and you should be taking this up with them.

I believe that your are a disgruntal person who has nothing but to sit at home and complain all day. I have lived in Skytop for 24 years and never had any of these "issues". You are obvisously afraid of stating who you are so that people may speak with you regarding your "issues". I suggest either move out, seek therapy or just plan keep it to your self. You are doing no good to prespective tennents by stating false information and lying just to be vindictive becuse you are not happy. I think that it is time that you moved out of this comlex and let someone else who will appericate live there. And if you do not want to move, I suggest that you do not post these in false and erroneous comments. Thank you. By the way, feel free to contact me, I do provide me email address so that you may contact me if you have any issues.

I stumbled across this site as I was curious about what happened to god old Skytop. Myself and my family were original "settlers" of this now 40 year old complex moving in in 1966..we lived there 10 years up until 1976 and have some pretty great ,memories as a kid growing up there. Back in those days they had the swim club which was great! It's no a parking lot I believe next to what was the old playground. What's even more funny is that the reviews, especially this one has some similarities to when I was a kid there..we used to steal the shopping carts from Pathmark to make go-carts and the London Terrace folks were almost like a rival to us..there were many fights and disagreements with the "London Dudes" as we used to call them. That complex was always, and seems to be the case now, inferior to Skytop. Some things never change I guess..even 30 years later
