So I've been here for a year now - comparing it to the mess of an apartment complex right next to us (go see for yourself, or do a little research - I'm not naming it) the difference is like night and day. Skytop is quiet for the most part. Little kids are usually playing around in the "courtyards". No loud music where I am, although the ice cream truck that comes here in the late afternoon can be heard from indoors.

Hardwood floors are good, except that you need to cover 70% or so of it with carpet or rug if you live on the 2nd floor. Keeps the noise down, less complaints that the management needs to deal with, I suppose.

The parking issue had already been mentioned, although it seems like it's more of a "first-come, first-serve" policy if you have more than 1 car. Can't find a parking spot in the "alcove" if you come home working late or just out for the night. But there's always parking on the street, and it's not over a minute walk to my front door anyway.

In the summer, the one A/C unit you get in the living room is not quite enough. I see some apartments with window units, although I was told that it wasn't "allowed" when I first moved in. A good quiet fan is a lifesaver. On the other hand, it's always warm enough in the winter!

Not a bad place for the simple life - one of the best deals you can get in this area (that's safe AND close to major highways)! The bagel store across the street at the Minimall is awesome, and the italian restaurant there while a bit on the expensive side, makes for good eating. Pathmark and Shoprite are nearby for groceries, Walmart for your odd bits and ends, Strauss for your car maintenance and repairs... just very convenient! Hope this review helps - the place isn't fancy or special, but it ain't bad!
