Winding Wood Apartments

Ready to Leave/Stay Away From: jnjskull Date posted: 2/28/2004 Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004   Our overall experince hasn't been completly terrible. But I do not feel safe walking to far outside of my apartment at night. I live in the newer section and the units there are realitivly vacant and not built too well when you first look at it, it seems nice but then you notice the crappy paint job, the floor boards and ceiling seperating, windows and other fixtures installed backwards (crooked). It seems as if they just threw the place together for the cheapest price and then charge people who are not section 8 as much as possible for crap. Not to mention the gang graffiti on mail boxes and dumpsters, trash thrown through out the place ,litter everywhere, Extremley rude stafff no matter how nice you are. It can't be good when you hear that a tenant called the police for a problem she was having where a neighbor was stealing her liscence plate and they refused to do anything along with the office staff. If I could have moved out without penalty after being here for a couple of months I would have. The neighbors are not even freindly. No sense of community.Please stay away expecially if you have a faimily. You can do better.
