I lived here for two years. The first year a bomb fired occurred on the other side of my building. the second year my apartment was robbed without any sympathy from management. They say no pets or bbq allowed. Pitpulls are running lose and people are have bbq outside thier buildings. The building material is cheap the paint evaporate within a few short months and they will charge you for every little thing in order to keep your deposit and then some. the windows are very oldand have a very nasty drafe. My heating bill is 250 month during the winter months. The appliance is all the same in every building OLD!and CHEAP!Landscaping is horrible. Nothing for the kids to do. The playground is a joke. Drugs trafficing occurs in broad daylight. and only on securty protralman and he's related to someone in renters office. SAY NO to Winding Wood. No luxury here.just headache

This place is getting worst, things go on and the owner is all about money. He is moving anyone in here and there children are destroy the property. The apartment are over crowed and some people have roaches, bed bugs. The parents are allow there children to say out all night, they smoke and drink in the park. The speeding is off the hook and they allow it to go on all night into the morning. The security is a joke, they allow the youth to do what ever they want. We have parents that direspect the police and other parent, there children are the ones destroying the property. The police needs to be in this complex 24 hours. We have adult that are just as bad as there youth.

Argument turns bitter on Winding Wood issue Mayor asks lawyer for legal options to better secure complex BY MICHAEL ACKER Staff Writer SAYREVILLE - Safety and security at the Winding Wood apartments were at the center of a heated discussion at borough hall this week. Meanwhile, police responded to reports that gunshots were fired in the apartment complex twice last week and again on Monday. Sayreville Police Sgt. David Lasko told Greater Media Newspapers that no shell casings were found at the scene, but a 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with hindering apprehension after police responded to the call on Monday. The juvenile allegedly provided police with a false name. Jacqueline Butler, a resident of the Winding Wood community who has been an advocate for more security at the complex, told the mayor and council Monday that her car was vandalized again recently. "They've paint-balled my car," Butler said. Drivers are racing on the streets of WindingWood, she said, adding that when police arrive, the drivers turn off the headlights and pull into the nearest parking space to avoid arrest. "It's really getting so bad there at night that we can't sleep," Butler said. Butler again issued a challenge to Mayor Kennedy O'Brien, asking him to visit the complex late at night. She said the two security patrols hired by the property owner are inadequate. "We really need some more patrols in that complex," she said. Borough Business Administrator Jeffry Bertrand said the police department has increased patrols in the complex again recently. O'Brien recommended that Butler form a tenants' association with other Winding Wood residents. He said they should initiate a dialogue with the property owner, who is responsible for addressing the issues that Butler is raising about the private complex. "I would recommend that you consider forming a tenants' association, just as people form unions," O'Brien said.

i have read the reviews and I am still moving to Winding Woods. open up you eyes and smell the coffee. Have you been watching the news? or reading the newpaper? This is 2008. I don*t think tenants should have pitbulls running loose for the safety of all. However I do think tenants be able to have smal dogs and cats. Winding Woods must Form a tenant assiciation Ther are too many apatments in this complex not to have one This is the only way to protect the rights of the tenantsshould have pitbulls runding around loose for the safety of others. But i do think tenants should be able to have small dogs and cats. The parks should remain open up to a certain hour in summer months later. Kids are going to be kids teenagers incluced as a parent I would preferto know that my teenager is in park in the complex.
