We lived in Franklin Greens South for several years. We had problems with loud neighbours,we could hear pretty much every conversation our neighbours had through the thin walls. We had a problem finding parking spot after 7 pm. So we decided to moved out from there before our lease ended. We gave a proper 60 day written notice and we still got charged the rent payments until our lease expired!!! READ THE LEASE AGREEMENT very CAREFULLY! There is a lot of clauses that simple work againts the tenants and are very unfair and harming!!! We didn't get our security deposit back because they took it against the unexpired portion of the lease, even thought we pay the rent in full utill the end of our stay and gave them 60 day written notice!!! The managment harrased us with phone calls and late note payments after we moved out. And they had disregard our arguments. Again, we had to pay the rent utill our lease expired ( we didn't live there already !!! )because they didn't re-rent the apartment! That's ridiculous!!!
They only good thing about Franklin Greens was that the heat was free but in the summer we got killed by the A/C bill. They units are old and bills run up to and over $300 a month for 2 bedroom apartment!

This is very clear in the lease agreement. If, when you terminate your lease early, they are unable to rerent your apartment prior to the original lease expiration date you are on the fence to pay the rent through the end of the original lease. However, if they do manage to rerent it you are only assessed an early termination fee. As far as the deposits go, they are HORRIFICALLY SLOW about returning them. Legally they have 30 days to return the deposit but I have now been waiting over 30 days to receive mine. I terminated my lease with 60 days notice, did not break the lease early, received word from the on-site maintenance team that there were no issues with the unit but still I wait for the money (nearly $2000). If I don't receive it within a week I will take legal action against Segal and Segal.

Good luck with that! What are your thoughts on that: what if you have family emergancy or you get relocated to a different state and you have to teminate the lease. What can you do??? Looks like 60 days termination notice doesn't do much in that case and you will not get your security deposit back. So what you have "TERMINATION NOTICE in the lease for?
