Definitely better than average

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I'm about to sign a lease for a second year here, and I love it. I've had all kinds of problems at my other places, but both management and maintenance here are concerned with complaints, and they respond appropriately. The water is shut off a few times a year, but it's the only "problem" Harrison Towers ever has, and we are ALWAYS forewarned at least a week ahead of time--maintenance sticks papers all over elevators and entranceways; you can't not know when the water's going to be off. Parking isn't bad at all; even the far-away assigned spaces aren't more than 50 yards to the back door. Laundry is 1.25 wash, 1.25 dry, which I think is about the same as any laundromat. There are a lot of little touches that make Harrison great--the vending machines in the basement entrance, for example, and the re-done kitchens with brand-new appliances. There are security cameras everywhere. The balconies are big and allow for great views (try especially on the 4th of July), and the walls are thick--I live next to a couple of screaming kids and I can only hear them when their parents are dragging them down the hallway. There's a garbage chute on every floor, and if you're throwing out something big, you just leave it by the chute; no need to lug it all the way downstairs to the dumpsters. Everything here is easy and fast, and if you have a problem, there's always someone listening. I can't wait for another year here.
