Very Bad Experience

My roommate and I lived in a 2-bedroom apt. and had an average experience for the first 9 months or so. The apartment, while old, was large. We never had any of the roach/bug problems others have reported. It was pretty quiet most of the time. There were annoying problems with the elevators and water occasionally, but not as often as reported in other reviews. The worst thing was the smell in the hallways, emanating from other apartments, that sometimes floated into our apartment.
However, our experience turned far worse when a member of the maintenance staff mistakenly used a potentially lethal chemical to remove some mold from one of the apartments. While that in itself was troubling, the response from the building supervisor and management was absolutely appalling. The supervisor, who smelled of alcohol when we called him, first denied any wrongdoing by his staff, then acknowledged it but tried to threaten my roommate and I into not calling the management company. When we did call the management company, it was impossible to track down the appropriate party. And when we finally did find that person and demanded they compensate us for the items they destroyed and our hospital bills, they refused, and fought us every step of the way on every minute detail.
While there are some nice people and some pluses at Harrison Towers, the company as a whole showed their true colors during this incident. I would highly recommend against living taking the chance of living there.

Another true story at this house of horrors called Harrison Towers. And as far as the superintendent being drunk, that is not unusual, he is often drunk by noon. What was unusual is that he even bothered to show up at the apartment in question.
