I am happy here overall. Most problems mentioned in other reviews are a bit exaggerated besides MAYBE an elevator malfunction. I have never got stuck in there, but it's true, at least one of them usually does not work. However, in two years I don't recall a time when all three were down. Roaches visit sometimes but I keep my place clean and also there is exterminator service available every two weeks. My studio is huge, with hardwood floors which are rare nowadays in high rises, and a big balcony with a view I am completely in love with. Noise is minimal; it is like quiet heaven after a building in downtown New Brunswick where a garbage truck would wake me up religiously at 4-30 AM on Friday. A large park is within walking distance. The tenants are diverse but nice and friendly; most of them are resident physicians or attending from Robert Wood and St Peters Hospitals; a lot of healthcare personnel and medical students. Very safe. Front desk is superb; they will call you a cab day or night and get all your mail and promptly notify you. Maintenance is decent; I never had a major problem and only once had to repeat a call. Official pet policy is a no-no but I managed to smuggle a cat =) just like a lot of other residents; nobody seem to enforce the policy. AC is a bit old but certainly does the job in hot summer; there is some noise from it but frankly, I can't hear it anymore, you adapt to it in like a day. Heater was a problem this winter (it's a combined AC/heat wall unit) but they came and replaced something inside it so it heats well now (it took them one day to fix it and they came right away after my desperate call) =)Parking is ample although guests have to park in the very back and take a loooong walk to the front door. There is a garage available for extra and since I got it, I have no worries about overheated car in summer and digging snow in winter. Laundry is coin-operated and there is rarely a line for a washer/dryer; however, occasionally one of them breaks and it's frustrating when it is yours =). Again, happened maybe twice in 2 years; no biggie.
In sum, it is nice budget apartments and you can make them really beautiful if you know basic design; big windows and balconies; old building. It is good for a start for young professionals as a bridge to buying a house or as a temporary place while finishing training. Nobody I know is dying to move out.

It is nice that someone in this building is happy, most residents here are not. I feel that almost all the reviews here are accurate and true. But again, it is nice that out of 300 residents, one is having a good time. However this resident failed to mention the filthy elevators, filthy refuse rooms. The fact that today 70% of the dryers in the laundry room are broken. The underground parking area is dark, creepy and filthy dirty. And the maintenance people are not really qualifed to do the work assigned to them.
