I read various reviews that said stay away but I thought they were mainly due to construction and moved in June 2008. When we signed the lease in April, we were told a gym would be completed by the time we moved in. It is now Dec 2008 and they haven't even started working on the gym.

Broken building:
-There is CONSTANT construction -- it's not just one project that will be completed by a certain period of time. The laundry room was under construction and not usable for over one month. Electricity and water each both turned off at least once a month and you have to reset all your clocks every time.

-All of the air conditioning units are very old and dusty. They literally spread dust around the apartments -- we have asked to get it fixed and nothing was done.

-If you have any guests coming over or have more than one car you have to park in the back lot which is REALLY far and not paved. Any time there is bad weather, it is a nightmare to park and to walk from that lot.

Rude Staff:
-The maintainence people are terrible as well. We have recieved notices about taking out the garbage the proper way, when the bags in the garbage room are not even ours!!!

Terrible Location:
-Making a left turn out of the building takes anywhere from 5-10 minutes and is extremely dangerous.

-The traffic is HORRIBLE up and down Easton avenue. Prepare to be late or leave extremely early if you go to work during regular hours

Price:
-They trick you into thinking you are getting a good deal because utilities are included but electricity for one apartment would not come to $200 per month!! 1625 for the smallest apartment is NOT a good deal, there are way better around! Not to mention they have raised the prices 3 times in one year. When we first looked into the apartment it was 1325. When we were signing we were told it was 1425 because of all the new upgrades and construction. 3 months later our friend moved into the same model and he was told the price was 1625 and that 1425 was a discounted price because of construction. GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT HARRISON TOWERS!!!

So are you actually complaining that management is renovating the whole building? Or because the gym wasn't built by December? Do you know anything about construction? I love to read the reviews on this site, usually from new tenants or spoiled little Rutger students. From someone who has been living in the building for 10 years Harrison Towers is now a great place to live. Its had its problems, really bad ones through the years. And continues to go through its growing pains but fellow tenants you have a brand new building what are you complaining about. Staff is delightful (like Tony the doorman for starters) and everyone receives notices about the garbage... Management there are more tenants who appreciate what you have finally done for this building, then dissecting every little issue in the building. And FYI the laundry room and the gym are completed and both are great additions to the building.

First of all it's RutgerS students, not Rutger, you obviously don't know what is even around you, so how can you judge this building? Second of all, I am in my late 20s and am a working professional, not a student. Just so everyone knows the gym is STILL NOT COMPLETED. CALL AND ASK THE BUILDING!!!! The laundry room is completed, but closed half the time so you still can't use it.
