It you must, make it a temporary stay. You can do better for your money....

A while back I thought this was the greatest place to live in terms of renting. The grounds, inner building and laundry rooms were immaculately kept. The maintenance service and team were excellent. But, over the past five years as the rent increased the service and landscaping declined. I believe it had a lot to do with the change in ownership of the property which often happens. Although I loved the large spacious rooms that were provided the poor service and unkept grounds became unbearable for the money I paid. Often when repairs were made to my apartment it was left filthy. A second call was often needed to have the mess cleaned up. During the wintertime is the worst especially after a major snow storm. Snow turned to ice will remain on the grounds until it melts on it's own. If you are somewhat elderly this would not be the place for you. The grounds are an accident waiting to happen during the winter months. I'm surprised no one has sued yet.
There has also been some talk among tenants that not everyone pays the same rent for the same accomodations. Apparently, one tenant had confessed to another that they had never received an increase from the time they had moved in while others did. Although things of this nature are difficult to prove we know it happens in life.
Living here depends on your comfort zone. You have to determine what you can live with and what you can't for the money you spend. You'll find newer developments nearby with smaller accomodations and higher rent providing better service and living conditions. You have to decide what's best for you and your budget. Just don't expect too much it you stay here. Best of Luck!
