Pretty good overall (especially considering price/location)

We checked out a few places in the area but liked this one. The buildings aren't necessarily new but have been redone recently, so they all seem to be in good shape. We've had a few normal problems - leaky faucet, broken blinds, etc. - and someone has come by to repair each problem the next day. The area/location is nice - it would be a fifteen minute walk to Bridgewater Commons (if someone wanted to walk along a highway), two blocks from Rt. 22, a few more to Rts. 202, 206, 28, and 287, 5-10 minutes to 78. Main St. in Somerville is a nice little "Main St. America" kind of place. 15-20 minutes from Rutgers-New Brunswick, 35 minutes to Princeton (depending on traffic), 45 minutes to Pennsylvania. Bridgewater and all of those Watchung mountain towns are nearby. The train line go to NYC pretty conveniently.
One bedroom apts here are not huge but certainly fit everything we needed (sofa, loveseat, bookshelves, entertainment center, desks, double-sized bed, three dressers, OK closets). Nice view of the brook (thus "Brookside") out of our window. A little park and basketball/tennis courts nearby.
Parking is pretty awful sometimes. The lots are in disrepair (and usually full), street parking is hard to come by after 5:30 on weekdays, and if you come back late nights sometimes, expect a walk. But overall we've been very pleased with everything here - we think the location is great and the rent seems really low considering all we've got.
