I moved into NAV in Jan. 2000 and it's been one thing after another. I wish I could leave, but the rent rate is relatively low compared to other so-called decent complexes.(I'd never consider Parkwood or London Terrance. They may be cheaper, but NO-WAY, they are like ghettos!) Please know, I keep my small home very clean, no garbage laying around, well dusted and swept, no dishes left in the sink and the bathroom is bleached & Tilex-ed weekly. I'm a pretty tolerant person and rarely call the office about the "waterbugs" which are actually American Cockroaches. Do a search on Google, you'll see. The office never uses the word "roach" and tries to deny any problem or better yet they make empty promises of sending exterminators. My bathroom & bedroom reak of cat urine. Hey, I love cats - but these wild ones that pee everywhere gotta go! My paint is peeling, my bathroom drains back-up regularly, it's like Wild Kingdom with all the different insects - millipedes, ants, ROACHES, fleas, termites - heck you name it...it has probably scampered through my apt at one time or another! I read the other opinions about NAV and they said they have no heat - I'll tell you where the heat is...in my apt! I have the damn thermostat set on "off" and it still registers 80-plus degrees year-round. Oh, excuse me - except when there's a snow storm and I'll have zero heat for 2 or 3 days. I've just about given up calling the stupid office because they're extremely unhelpful, they'd much rather argue for 10 minutes about a problem actually exsisting rather than do anything about it. Hey office staff, here's an idea, how about shutting up and letting the tenant speak' Furthermore, you may as well just try to do any repairs or exterminating yourself. Otherwise you'll grow gray hairs quicker than the time it takes them to show up. The list of aggravations can go on for miles, any tenant in building 4 could tell you. All I'll say is, if you're looking for an apt - just keep looking. I'll join you in the search because I'm hoping to leave soon!! NAV is gross.
