Overpriced but ok

My father lived here during my last years in college. The apartments themselves are acceptable. Clean, working appliances, full-size washer & dryer, fairly friendly staff. We moved in when it was brand new, so we didn't have the chance to endure the breakdown of shoddy workmanship. And it hardly qualifies as the "luxury" it is touted as. Quite frankly, attaching the thought of luxury to anything in the complex is a total lie. The fitness room is a bit of a joke, way too small (literally the size of a bathroom) with too few machines that weren't fully functional at times. The security gate is always, ALWAYS broken. No view but lots of noise being right next to 287. And heating and insulation is sinful. My room was freezing during the winter b/c the windows let out all the heat. Made for a high energy bill. And the surrounding neighborhood is an abysmal armpit. There is nothing but a couple gas stations and a QuickCheck. What's worse is that tenants have to pay thru the nose for "luxury" they are not getting. Extra fees for sub-par amenities and the false sense of security a broken plastic pole of a gate might provide.
Still, the time I spent there was problem free and the actual apartments made a nice home and when my father retired to Florida, he had no problems having his full deposit returned.
