Soundproofing here is horrible. At night I can hear my downstairs neighbor snoring, and not only can I hear my next-door neighbors talking but I can make out entire sentences and I can feel it every time they slam their door. Not to mention the freight trains that run in the middle of the night less than a mile away. Even with a thick carpet and padding the hardwood floors creak like this place has been around since the Civil War even though it's less than seven years old. Definitely built by the lowest bidder.

The landlord is very friendly but the posted office hours don't mean much. Before I moved in I sat outside the office door for an hour on more than one occasion when it was supposed to be open.

The kitchen faces a wall and there's no cross-ventilation so if you do any smoky cooking the alarm will go off. Plus the kitchen has only two silverware-sized drawers which makes it a little inconvenient.

Only downside to the bathroom is that the shower has one of those hotel-style one-dimensional faucets.

There's no outside lighting just on my side of my building except if the neighbors leave their outside lights on, but it's good everywhere else.

On the plus side it comes with a washer/dryer in the apartment, a dishwasher, and central air. The bedroom has a big walk-in closet (though there is no utility closet in the hallway). One unit in each two-bedroom building was converted into storage and there is a cage about 7 by 10 for each apartment. And they finally got rid of those Himalayan speed bumps.
