Ghetto w/ a capital G

My apartment itself in the inside is very nice and spacious. The problem is the noise. The neighbor behind me screams at her kids all day, starting at 7am, she's like a natural alarm clock for me. But it doesn't end there, she also screams at her kids all night too, it seems all she does is scream at her kids and they are loud as well. Her baby never stops crying, I never heard a baby cry so much and now I feel like I have a baby because that's how loud hers is. Her other children roller skate or skate board or something on the hardwood floors, it's the most obnoxious sound ever. Also, my bed is against the wall that is the wall in her kid's room. Sometimes they like to jump on their bed, right next to my head and it sounds like they are going to crash through my wall. When the family isn't screaming, they are blasting loud music with a thumping bass. It's obvious to me that they do not have respect for anyone and they are complete trash.
My neighbor upstairs from me is nice but she is always having loud sex and a lot of it. Hey, I'm not knocking her for it but it gets old after awhile. The bed squeaking and banging on the floor, her moaning, yes, I can hear every detail, it's like a porn. The problem is, my son hears it as well. He usually laughs but I think it's a bit inappropriate. I'm not saying the girl shouldn't be able to have her fun, but she should be taking into consideration that the walls are thin and that she should keep it a bit more quiet. Also, she has a heavy walk, she stomps back and forth all of the time. Just the other night I was suffering from insomnia and at 2am I could hear her walking around, dropping stuff on the ground, sounded like marbles. It was terrible.
Loud cars drive by constantly past my bedroom window which is in the complex, not on the main road. The cars always seem to have a loud exhaust pipes and loud music. For this reason, I cannot keep my windows open. It happens every twenty minutes and can get rather annoying. The other issue is, the ragweed on the side of the building, this is the first year that I have ever suffered from allergies. I checked it out online and found it was ragweed season, when I looked out of my window, sure enough, piled high was patches of ragweed.
There isn't any grass except for on the main road near the office. What appears to be a neatly manicured complex is only for show in the front. If you drive through, you will find patches of dirt and dust, pot holes in the asphalt and cigarette butts everywhere. The dumpsters contain maggots when over-flowing and people are too lazy to actually throw their trash in the dumpsters, they just lay it next to it on the ground and the entire complex has litter strewn about. The stray cat population is at least in the 50's. That is no exaggeration, they have multiplied beyond belief.
There are the neighbors you never see and then there are the ones who obviously do not work and sit on their porch all day with a bunch of kids running around. I feel like I'm in one of those movies where the detective has to find someone in a ghetto apartment building, as he's stepping over the drug addicts and kicking the bums out of the way, he makes his way to the floor of the apartments where there are people screaming, babies crying and the occasional gun shot in the background. I'm not saying they shoot around here because, I haven't heard that, yet.... It's just like a bad scene from a movie. Oh and you will find baggies all over the complex that once held some sort of drug.
The bottom line, these apartments are sooooooo expensive but the walls had to have been constructed of tissue paper because I can hear ever word my neighbors are saying which means they can hear everything I'm saying. I often find myself whispering out of fear that they will hear my personal business over the telephone. It's not worth the cost and I'm moving out. I'm renting from a private owner. Garden apartment living is the worst living arrangement I have ever experienced, try to rent a house, you can get one for just about the same price as one of these larger apartments or rent a townhouse that has better insulation and less ghetto neighbors.
Oh and by the way, management doesn't exist here. They don't even answer and if by chance they do, nothing gets done.
