It was a little expensive for a one bedroom apartment, however it was a huge apartment! I has a large dining room walk in closet an large bathroom. The closet space was great including a walk in closet in the bedroom. The kitchen was tiny but with the dining room it was ok. Can't beat having the heat and hot water paid for! and it was always hot! Parking was great for me I was always right outside my door (I was on the lower level)I think how bad the area is depends on where you have lived. I grew up in the Trenton area and didn't feel unsafe here at all. Others I talked to who grew up in the Toms River area felt it was very bad. Its all relative.

Overall I think it's a good place to live.
