and as a current resident, I wanted to say that they are fixing up the units. When I moved in, all of the appliances were new and the bathroom was new (although I think that they purchased slightly damaged items). While they aren't top of the line items it is a very nice unit. My unit has a great floor plan with hard wood floors and the rooms are large. What really irks me is the pet policy (an extra $300 deposit and an additional $35 per month!!!!) And if you have two dogs, it's $35 each. Did you know that you also have to pay extra monthly if you have cats, birds or fish' Well, you do. And the office staff is exactly as you have read here. I do agree that to keep the place looking good there has to be rules to follow or the place will look like the rest (slum city), but I don't think that the way that they are doing it is the best way. I don't think that the manager has the necessary skills. The fact of the matter remains though that if you have pets, it is very difficult to find decent places to live and that these are the nicest units in the area.

F*@# that place!!!!! I hope it burns to the ground!!! It will one day since those morons running it let those high school dropouts be maintenance men. . . They PAINTED THE F-in FIRE SPRINKLER HEADS!!!!!! Now they will not go off when there is a real fire!!!! Dumba$$es!!!!!! That place is like the 5th ring of hell!!! That is all for now. . . F them!!!

This place is being crossed of my list. I hate the heat as it is, and the 5th circle of hell will not like me dwelling there. Give me A/C, windy days, rain, cold, sleet and snow anyday.

The issue with the sprinkler head shouldent be brought up to them it should be brought up with the police department. I think its somwhere along the lines of 50 to 100 dollars per head painted over.

I lived there 14 years and my experience there was so horrid. yes you pay security and rent for all pets. but I never had new appliances EVER. my bathroom was literally falling in and they did nothing until I threatened a lawsuit and sent the forms to my lawyer and them at the same time as a cc:. I beacame disabled while living there and they don't allow ramps to be put up al all. In fact a tenenant had one built for thousands of dollars the they made them take it down thus forcing the m to move out. that is why I had to move too. I needed a ramp. I also hated the giant black roaches, regular brown roaches, mice, and thousands of ants. Since I moved out of that hell hole, I have never been happier. My new place is clean, quiet, wheelchair accessible, the manager is so helpful and friendly and THERE ARE No infestation of any kind! YIPPEE! JAMESTOWNE VILLAGE APARTMENTS SUCKS BIG TIME!!
