It is very important to read the details of your lease - if you do not follow them to the letter you will be DFINED for everything. There is no leniency, even when you just move in. Do not ask them to "bend the rules" or do something against the law. This I understand. I only wished that the kind of person I showed them I was made a difference.
As to the apartment, the kitchen had only ONE drawer. This was unbelievable! There was one closet unit that could be used as a linen closet but other than that, there was no pantry. There is a coat closet in the living room but other than the bedrooms, no other closet space of any kind. There was no where to put away my things. I had to buy shelf units and put shelves in one of the closets. I found the Refrigerator/Freezer & Microwave all too small. And yes, there was an insect problem. I've never had to live with occassional roaches and silverfish.

I lived in Jamestown for a year, and it did suck. I cleaned every day and still had roaches I had other bugs I was able to get rid of on my own. Every faucet broke, even after being fixed but, the place had great storage a full wall in the bedroom, a small linen closet next to the bath a huge walk in across from the kitchen which I used as a pantry and another large closet off the living room. The microwave was average size, the dishwasher broke and was never properly fixed. The place has a lot of problems but be honest about them.
