These are older apartments, which is not an issue in itself. The walls and floors are warped in places but solid and quiet. However, older apartments, as you might imagine, have more of a bug problem. Water bugs (They sound cute, huh' They're not.) are the main issue if you live on the first floor at least, like I did. It's not the end of the world; just make sure you and your neighbors keep things clean. The rent, however, is rather high for basically no on-site amenities aside from a parking spot right outside your door (rarely did I have to park just a few feet over), laundry rooms and personal storage in building basements. Granted, this is coming from someone who now lives in North Carolina and who has a far better place here for the same money. That's just the market. The staff here is a bit curt, and they are very strict about their rules, including all the little nickel-and-dime fees. They also do things the old fashioned way, rent renewal and tax statements on typewriters, maintenance forms done by hand, contracts with carbon copies -- no, literally the carbon impression sheets -- etc. This is also not a bad thing, but it gives you an idea of who you're dealing with, their level of sophistication. They're very strict but fair. Repairs are done well and right away. They generally keep things up, but they aren't into a lot of cosmetic improvements. The best part about living here is that you're right across the street from a beautiful park with walking trails, a lake, picnic grounds, etc. Your neighbors, like the landlord are also a bit brusk, don't say hi, keep to themselves. That's good and bad. No sense of community, but no loud block parties either. k6tKKzmJrmATU2ap682S
