This place has ROACHES!!!!!

I absolutely cannot believe that in this day and age there are still places that have roaches! I've been having all kinds of problems with this place. First of all, the day I went to the leasing office to reserve my apartment I was told I would be in an apartment on Walker Avenue. Then about an hour after I signed my paperwork, I get a call from Lisa, one of the leasing agents, saying that there was a "mix up" in the office and Precilla (another leasing agent) had already given the apartment to someone else earlier that morning. So, the only apartment left is on Manor Drive. First of all, I had to go through the trouble of having to run home, go to the bank to get a certified check, and then try to make it back to the leasing office before they closed so that I could give them the deposit to hold the apartment. So, you mean to tell me that in all that time no one was able to figure out that the apartment had already been given to someone else. The second thing that lets me know that what Lisa told me is a lie is, while I was at the leasing office dropping off my deposit, the guy (I think his name is Cleveland, or something like that) that works in the leasing office came in and said, "We need four Union apartments for June 1st." So, it's just too coincidental that an hour after returning home and hearing that, Lisa gives me a call to say that the apartment had already been given away.
My next problem: The day I went to sign my lease, I told Lisa my apartment needed to be painted. She asked me when my furniture was coming, and told me that would be plenty of time for my apartment to be painted. That was in July, and now it's September....Guess what....my apartment still has not been painted. The week I moved in I went to the leasing office and turned in my apartment check list sheet stating things that were wrong with my apartment to Precilla. At that time I told Precilla that my apartment needed to be painted. I told her the proof is that the walls were dirty, clearly confirming that my apartment was never painted! The next week I called Resident Services and told them my apartment needed to be painted. Still, nothing has happened.
Now, about those nasty roaches!!! Last week I saw a small dead insect by my front door. I thought the insect may have been a roach, but I tried to be positive and just brushed it off as some type of bug from outside. Then this week I saw another one dead in my kitchen. This confirmed that it was indeed a roach. Then the other day I overheard children in the hallway of my building talking about how they have seen mice and roaches in the apartments. Last night when I got home, I saw two dead roaches by my bed, and a small one crawling around on the floor by my window. So, it is obvious that roaches are crawling from other apartments into my apartment. This is extremely unacceptable. There is no reason why I am paying $1000 for rent, and there are nasty roaches in my apartment. I am highly upset, because I did not grow up living with roaches, and I will not tolerate living with any now. I sure hope resident services will take action this time. mgFDbN4-dhkSMZ7zRmVH
