Mill Run repeatedly refused to fix the mold in our apartment for the 7 months we've been living here. Priscilla the property manager told us she is not required to do anything we were asking because the building was built before all these mold standards came into place. So' We still have the right for safe and healthy housing. So, we called the health inspector and he had something a lot different to say. He ordered them to replace our whole bathroom window and now they are sending us threatening notes. The maintenance guy said "The problem with you guys is that you just want everything done right away." They go into your apartment all the time and tell you it is in the lease. Well, that's illegal.
If you live in Mill Run, call the health inspector RIGHT NOW not later. You have rights and they have to live up to them. We can't live like this anymore. I know I can't. It is not just me- all of my neighbors have the same problems and we need to speak up. I bet Mill Run wishes they let us get out of our lease because now the Board of Health knows what's going on. If everyone tells the health department about their apartments, maybe this place will get the punishment they deserve.
IF YOU LIVE IN MILL RUN CALL THE HEALTH INSPECTOR OF UNION: 908 851 8507. You need to speak up in order for these conditions to get fixed!!! Don't just tell Mill Run when sewage backs up into your apartment because they could care less.

This person is right on track. All of these folks are not wrong. I had no misunderstanding with anyone there. It's true most of the Maintenance people can't speak English Well and are very rude. I paid my rent on time. But never lived like this. So Run for the Hills. We also called the Health inspector. Like I mentioned before. The place should be shut down and remodeled to meet living standards. That's exactly what it is "PROJECTS". Thank God we moved far away from place.

I agree. I lived in Mill Run and we broke our lease to get away from the toilet that it was.
DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THAT SAYS "MILL RUN IS GREAT"--IT IS A LIE. MILL RUN = PROJECT.

I also agree. I broke my lease to get away from the mold also. I had it in my bathroom, bedroom, and living room. I complained for months and months but no one ever returned my calls. Then I finally got a call from them to see if the work done to my satisfaction... WHAT WORK?? NOTHING WAS DONE!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place!!

Mill Run is disgraceful. My first issue is parking. There are no assigned parking spaces. It is first come, first served. They give you 1 parking sticker per unit. Each additional sticker is $35 per month. Street parking is like trying to find a parking space near a Brooklyn brownstone. A few of my neighbors had their cars towed even though their sticker was displayed clearly in the window. My next issue is how they dictate your living arrangements. They tell you for a 2 br there can only be 2 adults and 1 child, or 1 adult per br. There are rodents in the apartments, i.e. roaches, mice, etc. They enter your apartment without notice. I was about enter the shower when I heard my door unlock. I had to grab a robe and run to the door quickly. The staff is extremely rude. If there is a problem, you're always at fault. My toilet backed up into my tub on several occasions. On numerous occasions I had no hot water. When I called I was told they were working on the boiler, but I never received a notice in advance. The mold in the bathroom is out of control. I can't hang my curtains or blinds because they fall due to the weak walls. My apartment only has 2 heaters; 1 in the living room and 1 in my bedroom. There is no heater or heat in my child's room. I called about that issue and was told to turn the 2 heaters up high and leave the doors open, which wouldn't be a problem if they were paying my utility bill. It's been 2 years now and the heater was never installed. I will not be doing a 3rd lease. I'm at my breaking point with Mill Run. This place is a nightmare. I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy move here. DO NOT RENT HERE!!! DON'T LET THE LANDSCAPING FOOL YOU!!

Mill Run is infested with bed bugs--- all of my furniture was lost because they won't fumigate the apartment. I can't sleep there because I threw out my brand new mattress that became infested and they are all over the apartment as far as I know. I'm now out an apartment- luckily I have somewhere else to stay but they expect me to pay rent on an apartment I can't even sleep in or bring furniture into instead of just fixing the problem or apologizing that my bed was ruined--- what slumlords.
