To begin, the only building on premises you should consider moving into right now is 25 (the tower), and then make sure you get a good deal on rent. The rest of the buildings are either in the process of, or will be soon, converted to condominiums (and not at reasonable insider pricing for tenants).

I live in building 24 (formerly Riverside West, now Hudson Club), which is being converted to condos right now. We got notice of this two weeks after moving in. They "generously" allowed us to stay out our lease term, and this is what we've found since then.

The positives are the obvious features that people move here for. Phenomenal views, fairly attractive and well-maintained grounds, excellent amenities (if a little expensive), and an enjoyable and easy commute to NYC.

The negatives: half-witted management, incompetent concierge staff, poor maintenance request turn-around time, constant disruptions by common area maintenance and construction in general, never know what condition you'll find the elevators in, increasingly lax security, and so on, and so on.

In short, renting here means paying luxury apartment rent for what should be a bargain apartment. Someone in management should look up the definition of 'luxury,' and then work towards meeting that.

Hi, do you still live at Riverbend and what is your experience the same? I am thinking of renting there but want to make sure that is the right decision.
