I don't know what you are talking about by giving 3 out of 5 to parking, maintenance and etc (which all deserve -10). For 1400 a month all you get is a privilege to park by the curb or somewhere afar (I used to rent a crappy garage with door that almost dropped on me and killed me, with holes on the walls and rats staring at you, not to mention it was so small it can only fit your bicycle for $35 a month), no central AC (I remember stalking the manager for 5 months to change my 50 year old AC in living room and he tried to replace it with older one that emits hot air in 90 degree summer weather. After stalking him for 2 more months he finally put in a new AC). Also we have very squeaky old wood floor, so whenever we walk on it late night the tenant downstairs complains that it's noisy. Talk about feeling incarcerated! We bought our own fridge after the management tried to replace their old stinking refrigerator with an older fridge that leaks! And they say oh we should be thankful. Folks we are not paying $1400 a month to be treated like prisoners. Do you see a pattern here' I have so far asked them to replace the bathroom sink and they brought in someone with the crappiest craftsmanship I've ever seen. He used old PVC pipe so that sink clogs often and didn't bother to sand off the caulking around the sink. Now to save their money they hire high school kids or some illegal immigrant who doesn't know English at all to maintain the property and guess what' All they do is cut the grass and don't even bother to get rid of the weed. They use cheap concrete so the asphalt and the sidewalk always return to their cracked form. It takes you light years to get their attention and if you forget to pay your rent on the due date they come to your door the very next day! Talk about crooks! Once all the tenants protested the quality of service and they responded by raising the rent. And there is one apartment that suffered fire about 2 years ago and remains charred to this day and so far they are not doing anything to fix it. Every year they seem to be raising our rent to tell us to get out, which we will soon. People live here just bc they want their kids to get good Westfield education and they cant afford to live elsewhere in this town, but in my case I don't understand why my parents don't bother to move elsewhere. If you are considering to moving here forget it and look elsewhere. Oh my neighbor also has a stray cat as his pet that leaves a rat carcass sometimes in front of the porch. Talk about nastiness! We complained through manager yet the manager just says he told the guy to get rid of his cat and nothing changed. Of course he won't listen to you you idiot(the manager). They do not enforce their no pet policy. Why' They are too lazy but they sure are good at coming after your money. They always give excuses that they need to work on their property in NY. One of their workers told me the landlord is a miser who refuses to even pay for a broom! They seemed to have shown some progress before in renovating vacant apartments. Now people are leaving instead of moving in. Oh and the street light outside remains cracked. Yes cracked. Sometimes some high school kids come partying next door and keep talking loud outside at 1 AM.
Now I think I've convinced you enough not to consider this place at all. Unless the ownership changes I don't think anything good will happen to this place. Yes it has a huge potential to become a wonderful property and I don't understand why those idiots don't know that. They have a lot of money; they just don't want to spend a dime on it. Oh this place doesn't even have a sign at the entrance like other places. Doesn't that tell you something' You are not even welcome to visit.
