Overall, I'm happy at Red Bank. I love having 2 floors, my own washer and dryer and a big walk-in closet. I have experienced some of the problems that the other users have mentioned. It is true that the units need to be better insulated (our winter heating bills ran between $90-250 and we keep the heat low). They don't always use top quality products: the window blinds, for example, break very easily. We regularly hear our neighbors going up or down the stairs, which can get annoying, but rarely hear any other noise from the other apartments. The kitchen is small, although I've had bigger kitchens with less counter space. The dishwasher is new, but doesn't wash the top rack stuff well b/c there isn't a sprayer on the top. Washer and dryer are new and work well. They also have a larger capacity than I anticipated. Maintenance generally responds quickly. We don't have problems with parking, but I think there are other buildings that do. It's nice to have an outside area, although I've noticed that the most visible areas are better cared for. Our yard was never adequately raked in the fall. I'm not sure if they do pest control. We haven't seen roaches, but have seen other weird bugs like silverfish and pill bugs - YUCK! The property manager is good about telling you which unit she'd recommend (if there is more than one choice). Listen to her! She'll steer you away from the apartments with potential annoyances like lack of parking or too many kids. Overall, we're happy and plan to stay another year.
