Almost as soon as we moved into Stony Brook, we wanted out!! The model of the Apartments looked great, that's what got us to move in, then we saw what our apartment looked like and it was nothing like the model! We were promised all kinds of things and never received them. There was always plumbing issues, bugs, everything in the apartment is OLD! We had no air ventilation through our apartments, so we were cold in the winter and HOT in the summer. We told them about our problem repeatedly and they didn't help us. Our vents were soo clogged we had carbon minoxide and the fire department came and said our heater was so stacked and filled with dust and dirt they couldnt believe we weren't sick from it! Then the apartments went under new management...this was even worse!!! They were after nothing but your money!!! They are very unprofessional when it comes to a problem in the apartment...I told them we had no air coming out of the vents and that it was going to be 100 degrees and their reply to me was, "well when its 100 degrees outside you cant expect your apartment to be 75 degrees!" WE PAID ALLLL THE BILLS!!! If we want our apartment to be 60 degrees, it better be 60 degrees. You have to pay your own water bill which was another $40 a month and your hot water runs out in about 10 minutes. We couldn't even fill up a tub for my daughter because less than half way filled it would be freezing!! The office was found locked a few times during office hours with the younger staff working with young boys in there with them!'! They told us they never received our rent payment and then charged us late fees of a hundred dollars each time!! (We are still fighting that one) The new management is just awful!!!!!! DO NOT MOVIE IN HERE!!! YOU GET NOTHING FOR YOUR MONEY!!!!

This place is a delapidated hell hole from the 70's and the new office staff are rude pompous little twits that act like they are doing you a favor by doing their job. They need to restaff this hellhole and put them doofus' on the street where they belong
