These have to be some of the crappiest apartments I have ever seen, I saw these when I was apartment hunting on I also know someone who lives there and you definatly get what you pay for there. yeah the kitchen is big but the appliences are ancient, the floors creek especially the upper levels no natural light unless you keep your patio blinds open all the time, the pool sucks, it's very small. very old buildings. Locally owned by a guy who smokes inside the office and the laundry facilities are a joke and you can always hear the firetrucks screaming by since there is a firestation 2 minutes away. like I said Beware....

Actually, the guy who smokes in the office is just a flunky of the out-of-state owners who live in CA. They have no idea how badly he is managing the place or they don't care. He has told several different prospective tenants that he won't rent to any that is 18-20 years of age which is in violate of housing laws. Security sleeps in his apartment or in his truck. They don't maintain the place. In the last last 3 months they have raised the laundry costs from $1.50 a load to $2.50 for both wash and dry. You can never find the manager during posted office hours as he is either golfing next door or hanging out at the outdoor patio of a local bar. I agree with the first poster that the appliances are old and don't work well. The plumbing is substandard. We have had numerous back ups over the last few years. It's is very dark in the apartments and even with the blinds open you don't get a lot of natural light.

Let me add a few more problems to the list. The walls are paper-thin. You can hear every noise around you. I recommend sleeping with ear plugs and running fans during the day as a more pleasant noise-blocker. The utilities are sky-high since the appliances are not energy-efficient and the windows and doors are poorly insulated. The dust level is unreal. Everything half-works: plumbing (faucets/drainage), electrical (circuit breakers), evaporative A/C, even drawers. A large plunger will become your best friend fast. If you're not a smoker, you might not enjoy your freshly-hung closet clothes reeking of your neighbor's smell. Oh, and good luck parking in your assigned space. With limited compact spaces, you'll either be fighting off co-tenants or contractors on a semi-regular basis. Your visitors have to park in your space while you have the challenge of finding another one. Just slip the rent check in the door.
