I have to tell you, the people at Allegro made my move from the Bay Area to ABQ so relaxing it took so much stress off my shoulders. I had scoured the web sites, comparing apts, locations etc. Since I had never lived outside the Bay Area, this was a huge change for me. After finding this web site and comparing everyone's comments, it came down to two, Allegro and La Vantana. I contacted each and right off the bat I felt more at ease with the people at Allegro, not that there was anything wrong with the other. I was assisted by Kaila, who made me feel so comfortable with my decision. She got me all the info, floor plans pricing etc, went over everything in detail,even went to the apt I was looking to rent and described the view I had from the balcony. Even after I had called multiple times, she never made it seem that I was bothering her, always pleasant. On a day she was out ill, Gail, the manager picked up right where Kaila left off. It was as if they knew me personally. None of that "well, she's out today so you'll have to call back tomorrow" crap. They even had multiple storage closets reserved for the movers. When I arrived and needed a few things, I was greeted in the lobby by either Gail, Kaila or Sarah who is just as friendly and helpful as the others. I had noticed I had no hot water (hot water heater needed to be reset), she had someone here within a couple of hours, maybe sooner, I had left. When I got back, I noticed a vibrating coming through the bedroom wall adjacent to the outside water heater, a very polite and professional maintanance guy was sent immidiatly and took care of the issue. Now, for the place itself....It's fantastic! Right out my patio doors I can see the Sandia mountains, you're literally right at the foothills!I get up early so I see the sun rise over the mountains. If I look out the side of my patio I can see out west, a long way! Since we're up high, I can see all the lights of the city, the sunsets and even some fantastic lightning storms that we've had lately. Inside, it's so great to have a washer and dryer, I hate going to laundry rooms. Ice maker in the freezer, all the cabinets, carpets and tile look new, ceiling fans in living room and bedroom and it's so quiet here. I haven't lived in an apt for years and was very worried about noise...there is none! There's even a little shopping center right at the end of the block, walking distance, with a grocery store, cleaners and even a coffee house. Even though I've only been here two weeks, I don't regret my decision at all.
