I had to leave one month early (one month prior to my lease ending)because I lived in a second floor unit, and my mother had become severely disabled - couldn't walk - and I couldn't carry her up and down the stairs. I begged to be let out of the lease, but they not only charged me the last month's rent, they penalized me an additional $2000!!!! Also, once I forgot to add my $25 parking garage rental fee in my rent, and a week later, was threatened in writing and again in person by one of the so-called rental experts (in front of newcomers waiting to be shown an apt!!!!!) that I'd be evicted if I didn't pay up immediately.
