Both my wife and I work for Intel in their Rio Ranch Fab. About 2 years ago we took an assignment in their Chandler Az fab preparing for a major re-tooling. We were supposed on to say 6 months in Az but ended up being there a year. Before we left Albuquerque, we lived at CottonWood Ranch for about 2 years. Here is the straigt scoop from someone who has actually moved in, stayed 2 years, moved out and has now moved back in.

When we first moved to ABQ, we were told to live on Eastside of town. We were told it was the nicest place to live. Boy, are we glad we did't do that. The Westside is newer, nicer, far better shoping, and so much closer to Intel. We saved our selves at least an hour of drive time every by settling on the Westside.

So why did we choose Cottonwood Ranch' First of all the location is the best. We walk to the mall, movies, restaurants. Great in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. The grounds are beautiful. I don't know about you but I don't want to live somewhere where there are no trees and a few lousy shrubs. Cottonwood is covered with huge pines, a ton of grass, everything is beatiful. Others have commented on it here also. The place is very pretty.

Our 2 bedroom apartment is very nice. They even have TV's in the kitchens. When was they last time you saw that included in an apartment.

I play basketball and they have a full court glass backboard fenced in court. There is always a pick-up game. Also their pool is by far the nicest apartment pool I have ever seen.

In our first two years there, we never had problem with our apartment, so I cannot tell you about the speed of their maintenance staff. I can tell you that when I walk around and see one of the people that work there, they alway say hello and ask me how I am doing.

As for them being dumb like another reviewer wrote, when we got to Chandler to move into our apartment there, they gave us keys and when we opened the door it had not been cleaned! That never happened to me at Cottonwood. In fact, when we left to go to Chandler, we were not nickeled and dimed for so called damage to our apartment. They gave us ALL of our deposit back, even though my wife NEVER thought they would.

We are now back living at Cottonwood Ranch and will stay at least through summer 2005. Then maybe into a house.

Cottonwood has been great. VERY fair. Honest. And always have delivered exactly what they promised. The place is the nicest on the Westside and if you want to live in nice place, you won't do any better than Cottonwood Ranch.
