I have lived at both Cottonwood apartments and the sister property The Aspens, and I have friends who live at the other sister property, Taylor Ranch Apartments. I can say without a doubt, these three complexes are some of the best in Albuquerque. They are privately owned and run so they aren't in the trouble that some of the big property management companies and their properties are in. The management at all three properties care about the residents. The properties have a courtesy patrol night watchman to keep the hooligans in check. The layouts of the apartments are beautiful, the details inside the apartments (such as crown molding and large soaking tubs) are wonderful, and the beautiful counter tops and black appliances in the kitchen make the apartments feel more like a house than anything else. If you are looking for a place to live, look no further than Cottonwood Ranch Apartments, Aspen Ranch Apartments, or Taylor Ranch Apartments!

Guaranteed this person works for the company because I lived at Aspens a while back and I had to stay at Cottonwood because of a HORRIBLE roof leak and the staff at Aspens is without a doubt the worst I've ever dealt with in any kind of customer service field. But I will say that at least the staff at Cottonwood was kind and friendly when I stayed there. But both properties are in dire need of some TLC. Roofs are literally caving in and the "courtesy officer" is a joke because he can't do anything. The company "won't allow him" (his words) to tow cars parked in covered spaces that we pay $30.00 a month for. And he doesn't "keep hooligans in check" there are more parties at Aspens than anywhere I've ever lived and even if he does tell the office about it (which I don't know if he does) isn't it the office's job to take care of the party apartments after that? Evict them or something so the rest of the residents can sleep???? Sounds like poor management to me!

this place is a joke!!! do not live here EVER!!! cottonwood ranch is the rudest, unprofessional and inconsiderate complex i have ever rented from. unseen fee's are a constant at this place. beware, they make it all to easy to move in and impossible to move out or into a bigger unit due to fee's and hidden expenses. when i moved in to cottonwood, my rent was about $585 a month. within 1 1/2 years, i was paying $790 a month. if you are just a few days late on rent, don't expect them to work with you! you better hope your paycheck comes on or before the first of every month or you will be looking at $60 to $400 in late fees with an eviction notice taped to your door saying they have already taken you to court!! and lets talk about the pool which is only open about 3 month's out of the year, along with the hot tube (which is nothing more then a babysitting device for all the under age mothers that live there)

Pool are normally only open about three months out of the year...in the summer time. Memorial Day to Labor Day is pretty standard for pools everywhere to be open except probably in places like CA and Arizona.

Cottonwood ranch is getting better. I have lived here for about 1 year now.The old management never seemed to respond but since the entire office and the handymen have changed everything is getting better. They have worked hard to get new paint on the buildings and the pool is open and beautiful. The fitness center was in need of tlc and finally got it. I am not much of a fitness buff but the equipment they have is all new. So I am planning on renewing my lease agreement for about 6 more months if the improvements keep coming then I might stay longer.
