I lived at La Ventana shortly during my stay in Albuquerque through the summer of 2003. I had to leave because of a relocation out of state where I unfortunately ended up in a dump of an apartment. However, while I was in ABQ, my aparment was sunny and my view of the Sandia mountains was GORGEOUS! The office staff was wonderful and incredibly helpful with my move even though it meant getting out of my lease early. They returned my entire security deposit to me and helped to coordinate the transfer. I really miss the peace and quiet of my old apartment and the luxury of not hearing what was going on with my neighbors. The grounds were immaculately maintained and the pool was refreshing during the hot summer days! If you have kids, the playground seemed wonderful. I will agree with a previously posted comment that the covered parking is not convenient for all units. It definitely wasn't to mine, but you win some you lose some. I would highly recommend anyone to rent a unit at La Ventana, and if I return to ABQ, I intend to make that my first stop in looking for my new home.
