A MORE PROFESSIONAL POINT OF VIEW SOUNDS LIKE A DILLUSIONAL POINT OF VIEW!

I lived at The Lakes for close to 3 yrs. and can say with all honesty that it was once a very nice community but much has changed. It is true that there is excessive crime there and no doubt the police dept. will confirm this. There were even numerous news reports regarding several serious crimes that occured there. As for the reviewer who appears to suggest that her perception is "more professional" due to its positive nature, one can clearly assume this review is by a Management insider aka employee. This has become a community that is full of criminals and poverty cases with an office staff that will rent to anyone with a pulse. Ultimately we must all make our own decision when making a move and not solely rely on the opinions of others, but if you are considering making The Lakes your new home know what you are getting into and do as a previous reviewer suggested...check with the local police dept. The information they provide will help you make the right decision. The best of luck in your search for the right apartment. There really are some great ones out there with management teams that truly care!

I am living here now. My contract expires this November 2006. I have lived here for almost a year and half. I caught some black thug who tried to break into my truck within 6 months and I had to get a car viper alarm. Drug dealers hang around on the 2nd floor by the gates and are almost always watching out at night who is going through the gates. I hate being watched and cased out...thugs/drug dealers leave you alone if you leave them alone tho. I heard a gun shot in the apartment up and next to me..the cops did not respond until the next day..the apartment seemed to cover it up,silently and remodeled fast. A person down from me recent had her apartment broken into and they did send everyone a flier stating it was a rare event and safe to live here. The management pissed me off numerous times for stupid reasons. They "steer" or put people in certain sections and group them together. I live in "phase 2" which is the most ghetto and dangerous side..yet I pay $665 a month to live in fear every night and sometimes hear gun shots. I have an AR-15 to protect myself and my property now..the manage told me she didn't need to know this. They are actually treating me good since I told them this...lol I'll be moving out this November. The cost and trouble of staying is worse then the trouble of moving. |

Sounds like you're a MinuteMan who moved into the wrong area. Glad to see you go.
