When first looking at the Lakes Apartment complex I thought it had a pretty atmosphere. The staff seemed nice, but don't like that fool you. After moving in several serious crimes occured. The police seemed to always be at this apartment complex because their are always problems with residence. I had problems with my neighbors, one being a drummer and the other drug dealers. After confronting the management about several issues nothing got done. So I called up the security of the complex, they didn't return my call until 4 hours later when an emergency occured with neighbors. The management encourages the residents to contact the security for any problems with neighbors or the apartment. I had damage done to my personal property by other residents. An apartment complex is supposed to leave you feeling safe and at home and I didn't get close to that feeling once. I had damages that costed more than $2,000 by a resident that lived here. Not worth living here if it is going to cost you more in damages than in rent. They let anyone live here and it is very unsafe. There is always gang grafitti and urine in the elevator . The management is not helpful and will give you the run around as soon as you talk to them. They are very rude to thier residents that live here and don't want anything to do with you. The owners of this apartment complex should feel ashamed because they have made terrible decisions in the staffing and maintaining of this place. You can't run a buisness if you can't keep your own customers happy. I personally am going to save myself the aggrevation and leave my lease early due to the numerous problems that have occured here.
