I have lived here at Manzano Mesa for 2 years now. At the beginning I LOVED this place. I felt very safe. And for a mother of 2 that's always important. Over the 2 years to our current time, I can't say I feel completely safe. There have been a few "disruptions". I'm fine with people playing their music too loud. What do you expect when living in apartment complexes. It's to be expected. But, with some of the new people who have moved in, well, its gotten a little crazy. Maybe last year sometime, someone's van was burned near to a crisp. It was a weekend. But, i feel that if something like that happens, whether on a weekday or weekend, management should be there to address the situation. I never once saw management. Not even on Monday. The van stayed there, burnt, for a week. Now, I was a little scared about this. This van was parked near my building. If it had exploded, imagine the possibilities. I do get tired of the people fighting outside. It gets a little bothersome when you see a woman running away from a man yelling at her. Mind you, this has only been happening in the last year. I've been here since Jan.'07. When we first moved in it was quiet, nice. No problems. Now, its definitely changed. And now today, a guy got shot outside of the building next to my building. i think when they are looking into some of these potential tenants that maybe, they should put a little more work in to it. Maintenance is great. Nice and always willing to work with you. At night now, though, i do get a little worried. Parking is HORRIBLE. If you're not home before 5pm dont expect to find parking close by. And for the ones of us who dont have preferred parking, and would like to park in front of our building...we cant. Because visitors snatch up our parking. So, I have to park a million miles away with my 2 kids. It's horrible. I guess I wouldn't really recommend this place to anyone.

A guy got shot, a van was burnt and allowed to stay in the parking lot for a week...domestic violence, and you're saying it's not bad? Dude. It's totally ghetto.

Whoever wrote this review I'd like to find out what happened with that shooting. I too am a tenant of MM but seeing as management never seems to address issues like that I'd like to know what happened. You can write me at cbecenti84@yahoo.com

Well Cjbbjc, I know nothing of what happened. I'm still trying to find out myself. No one is willing to talk to me to help me find out what happened. Management here really does suck. They always say they are willing to help but they dont. Too much on their high horses and too good to help you out.
