My family has lived at Manzano Vista Apartments since 2002. When we first moved in, it was a nice community to live in. The manager (at the time) was strict with the rules and enforced them. Since the time that she left, management has changed hands at least six times over the course of 4 1/2 years. The staff now is very ghetto and doesn't respond to tenants requests nor do they take the tenants seriously. The apartments are a good value however,criminal background checks aren't done on ANY of the residents that are now moving in. There is a halfway house right across the street as to which none of the tenants were made aware of. Security is a joke, THERE ISN'T ANY... Vehicles have been broken into, apartments have been vandalized and the staff pretty much tells tenants that it's not there problem. The pool has been broken three out of the four summers that we have lived there. Crime is very bad in the area. APD is always circling the neighborhood on a nightly basis. We are moving to a nicer location where a staff is educated and really cares about their tenants. I would advise everyone to take heed to our advice and to look elsewhere as well...
