My roommate & I have lived here for nearly a year & are in a ground floor apt. The first few months were ok, only complaint was they didn't clean the carpets before we moved in & the plumbing has backed up twice in the 1st few months in the kitchen due to other tenants putting garbage in their disposals that doesn't grind up and backs up into ours. The odor is disgusting. Now the last couple of months have been horrid. Neighbors with kids allowed to run the place unsupervised, up & down steps, they even somehow broke a concrete step. They throw trash all over the place. Alcohol bottles strewn, tenants dogs allowed to roam without owners to defecate on the walkways and no one picks it up. The owners just open their doors to let the dogs back in when they think the dogs are through. The dogs bark at you as if you're in the wrong & no owner to prevent them from biting & we are just coming & going with our normal routine. I like dogs thats the weird part. Our new neighbors above us told us she brings home homeless people which is noble but dangerous. They smoke in the bathrooms & closets and the smoke drifts down through the vents. We had to cover the vents in the bathrooms & crawl space cover in the closet because we're super sensitive to cigarette smoke so now we have no way to vent the bathroom steam. Not a wuss just get sick from smoke. Horrendous bronchitis & chronic headaches when I'm around it. My roommate took a letter over to put in a complaint about the noise & trash from the unsupervised children & was told by the manager that there is nothing they can do about the unsupervised children.The last couple of weeks we had a drunk driver hit our car while we were asleep causing $1700.00 damage and in the past 10 days 3 cars have had their windows smashed. The cherry on the cake is a week ago after living here almost a year, "COCKROACHES". I went to management & complained & was told they may get bug patrol in a week or so because they just had them in here. So I captured the little cockroach on my counter, I swear taunting me to do something about him. I slapped an old glass over him to show the landlord & havent heard anything since from the manager as to when theyre going to spray. I've thrown out all my flour, sugar, anything that was clipped close. A big expense. We're clean people, do our dishes every night. Take our trash out when needed so Ive never had them before. I can't eat it's so gross. My little cockroach roommate hung on for a week under that glass. I'm making a documentary on my digital camera of the cockroach, trash, broken stuff, alcohol bottles laying about & all the broken windows to give to the management as I leave the place.
