I lived in the apartments for four very long years. When I first moved in it was wonderful, but since new management took over it has been an absolute nightmare!!! In the summer of 2007 I complained constantly that my air conditioner was leaking and was not blowing out cool air. Maintenance told me that it was my error because I kept the thermostat at 60 and was freezing it up. I finally resorted to just turning the darn thing off. When I ran into one of the maintenance staff I told him "I have turned the unit off and have not been using it yet the air conditioner is still leaking." He said he had an idea and would look at it again. When he went back to my apartment he installed a new thermostat. THAT WAS THE PROBLEM ALL ALONG! The broken thermostat ran my electric bill up to over $300 which I had to pay!!! The hole the maintenance staff drilled in my ceiling is still there!

The straw that has broken the camel's back however is when I recently fell due to a hole in th ground between the sidewalk and the parking lot at 6:00 in the morning while walking to my car to go to work. When I fell I wretched the muscles in my neck and left shoulder! This injury caused me to miss work for a week and my arm in a sling for two weeks! One of my neighbors had complained about the hole two weeks prior to my falling and when I notified the apartment manager of my fall and injuries I did not get so much as an "I'm sorry you fell," "Are you all right," "Is there anything we can do," nothing!!! Is this what I get for being a tenant for four years' Is this what I get for giving over $27,000 to Mesa Verde' What's even worse is I fell on a Monday morning and notified the apartment complex at 9:50 that morning. They did nothing about the hole until Wednesday afternoon at around 4:00 p.m. They filled the hole wth soft sand!

Mesa Verde's competency, consideration of their tenants, professionalism, and above all gross negligence is appalling!!!

BEWARE!!!! These people don't give a flying flip about their tenants!!!
