What can I say about North Park apartments, cozy, sweete, nice, right in the middle of albuquerque. Well thats what your thinking when you first move in. Their highly over priced, you pay for the whole buildings utilitys. Even if your not home and not using you lights or heat you still get charged for the usage other people are using. It's a gated apartment, makes you think you'll be a little more safe. Out of the six months I lived there the gate was broken at least 15 times for days on end. Forget about getting your deposite back. They charged you for everthing they have to do before another tenant moves in. Money out of their pocket no, it's money out of your pocket to make the next tenant comfortable. New gate passes no, used, broken passes yes. They give you broken gate passes then charge you for them when you move out. The agents are nice untill you question their mistakes. North Park apartments are not the place for you if your looking for a trustworthy place to live.

Yes, I think you're right about North Park Apts. and their management staff. I was on Section 8 housing when I moved there in 2006 on a 1 year lease and on top of that the manager didn't even sign the lease; I renewed my lease for another year, my rent was increased, so now I'm paying the full amount of rent plus electricity without the help of Section 8. I've been doing this for the past 7 months now; my Section 8 contract will be expired at the end of this month and the manager is now assuming that we don't qualify to live there even though both my husband and myself work and make enough money to cover the rent. She wanted me to terminate my lease by giving them a 30 day notice, I decided to get legal help and I was advised not to sign or fill out anything because what they're doing is totally illegal. The apartment manager thinks that she can intimidate and step all over people just because they don't live up to her standards. They're not very nice at all and refuse to admit their mistakes until someone does something about it. When my lease is up I'm moving out of there and out of New Mexico for good.
