NOT Safe, NOT Friendly, NOT Cheap - Southwest Sutites
From: -Anonymous-Date posted: 11/18/2004
Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
Please read the 11-17 review. It is all true but a few things are missing.
* Security and safety: The apartment management insists on put notes on the door. These notes are indicates who is home. I have been robbed twice after having a note placed on the door. I have ask the office to stop doing it but refused , even after being robbed
Lights - What lights the place is dark and actual dangerous after night. Do not rent here if you are a single woman or have children ? please. Cars have been vandalized. Even the entrance signs are left unlit. Like the 11-17 mentioned lighting to poor if someone gets hurt I believe you could hold them legally responsible since the problem has numerously been reported.
* Southwest Suites: I too do not like these temporary tenants. They do not follow the rules, they are extremely noisy and do not care about the neighbors or the complex. But I would like to add they are unaware of how unsafe and unmaintained this complex is. If you are renting from Southwest Suites I would request another complex since the place is rundown and unsafe.
* Friendly: I do not think the office staff has ever heard that word. You ask them for anything that does not involve you paying them money; the attitude is how dare you ask, we are not here for you only to rent you an apartment. Friendly, only if they think you might rent an apartment. I have never known of such an unfriendly bunch in my life I do not know who hire them. The less I have to see them the better.
Cheap: You would swear this apartment complex would have all the luxuries based on the price. But the pools are dirty or closed, the heating and AC is inadequate, the parking is VERY poor, security and safety do not exist, the appearance of the complex shows that the maintenance is poor, and management is unfriendly or nonexistence. What would you pay for a place in this apartment. Well the apartments run 825 and upwards. Do you think it is worth it. Many people do not and move. Do not be fooled by the landscaping. It is the only thing they put money into to get you to rent. Also the apartment complex has had numerous water leaks, told by ex-maintenance personnel, and now has a mold problem and warns you to open the windows.
Please, there are other great apartments in Albuquerque, maybe the location is not as good but they are safer, better maintained, and the management at least tries.
The Air Force base should warn personnel about this apartment complex. They like to take advantage of the military - beware.
