Taking matters in to my own hands.

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2004
The following is a journal of the tragic events of my stay at these horrid apartments. Nothing could have prepared me for the experience.
I arrived to sign my lease and pick up my keys. As I was signing the lease, I noticed that parts of the ?fine print? were actually written in what appeared to be Swahili. When I asked about this, I was told that the parent company was in Africa and needed them for legal reasons. After the lease was signed, I was given the keys and told to go give the apartment a once over. When I went to unlock the apartment, I noticed that they had actually given me the key to a pad lock? I went back and got the correct key. On the way back to the apartment I noticed two men shooting up in a car. Perhaps they were both ?diabetic?, but I doubt it. I unloaded my inflatable bed and decided to call it a day I would unload my furniture tomorrow.
The movers arrived with my furniture, but could not get the truck in to the complex, because someone from a corporate housing company was blocking the way and refused to move. I know that he was from corporate housing because when I asked him about the rules, he didn?t even know what I was talking about. Apparently he hadn?t been given a copy. After about four hours of waiting, the movers were finally able to bring the truck in, but they charged me for all of the time they sat there.
I am a chartered accountant and I know a thing or two about professional courtesy. The service that I received from the management was very UNprofessional. When I went to complain about the landscaping (They use Tumbleweed LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!), they told me that it was because they were a good company who did excellent work. So much for luxury!
After all of this stress, I decided that it was time to spend a relaxing day at the pool. When I arrived, who do you think was there' Girl in swim suits' No. Maintenance. They were just relaxing by the pool. I even saw one employee light a cigarette with what appeared to be a work order.
These apartments are DARK at night. Upon coming home from work, I almost tripped over a ?homeless? man sleeping under the stairs. I said excuse me, he asked for change and we parted ways. I know that this man was homeless because I saw him digging through the dumpsters looking for food the next morning. At this point I am starting to not feel safe. I talked to my neighbor and he is right. They also aren?t military friendly. Once, they went into his apartment and left a note. My other neighbors received a notice that their rent was late. This is getting ridiculous.
I decided that I was going to move out immediately. Apparently in the fine print, I am not allowed to just up and leave. This is turning in to a nightmare. I asked to go ?month to month? and was told that I could do that, but my rent would increase. Where does it end'''
I finally got things resolved and was moving out when I saw a residences changing a light bulb on their own? Oh, what sad times are these when passing ruffians can say Ni at will to old ladies. There is a pestilence upon this land, nothing is sacred.
