I lived in Sandia Ridge apartments for 3 years. When I first moved in I believe 2002-03 it was under much better management. In 2005 new manager moved in. I was promised safety and gated community. Gates have not worked for 2 years. Year round heated pool not working and I was told it just was waiting for inspection 2 summers ago. Manager is lazy. You cannot get anything fixed. I broke my lease because of these concerns and purchased a home. I am now being sued for one month rent and to fix things I repeatedly requested to be fixed but no one ever came. Maintance man unlocked my door for someone to enter who I did not know. Security does not show up I called when some kids broke into the apartment upstairs no one ever showed up the manager said let me know if you see those kids again but that is really to bad. They had stole a bike from this residence. Loud, no response to broken items no gated community no swimmg pool as promised. Nothing but broken promises. Never any parking sometimes I had to walk a distance from my car to my apartment and at night it was very scary.

I definetly have to agree with you on your review! Sandia Ridge apartments are the worst place that I have ever lived. I currently live here now but once my lease is over I am moving somewhere else. We moved to the apartmnets thinking a gated commmunity sounded secure but they are still not working and I have yet to see security on the premisis. We have been here almost a year and they have not fixed anything that I asked to be fixed from the begining of our move in. The parking sucks and I would never recommend them to anybody they are the worst!

I have lived here for some time. When I first moved here it was a great place to live, maintence was done on a timely basis, fumagation was done monthly, gates worked properly and residents were screened. You knew your neighbors and it was like a small community. Now it looks like something you would rent in a slum. Roofs need repair, landscape is only taken care of in the front office, laundry rooms are a disgrace, during winter we are without water for weeks at a time and are expected to shower in hotel rooms where all the residents shower, gates not working , kids and radios blasting at all hours of night and when you call security they never come. The caliber of residents....some I would not rent to if they paid me twice the amount units are rented out for. They charge you for covered parking but do nothing about those that are parked there who do not pay for covered parking.... Does the owner know what condition this place has deteriorated to. I haven't any family in New Mexico to go to when these situations occur so I am basically stuck here this year until my lease is up...I am ashamed to even tell people where I live much less recommed it to some poor unsupecting person. Homeless people cut through the premises at all times and even sleep behind the dumpsters....trash, broken bottles, dirty diapers, clothes strewn all about the premises. Not to mention the plies of broken discarded furniture in the dumpster areas. Living here as long as I have, not once have they repainted my apartment much less changed out the carpet. This place has gone from a wonderful place to live to a scary, unsafe, disgraceful slum. Recommedation.....NO!
