I still live here and wish I didn't. I signed a year lease and wish I would have known BEFORE signing the paperwork what the termination fee is... TWO months notice and TWO months rent!

First of all, when I moved in I was told that each unit has refrigerated air conditioning (I found out much too late that I have swamp coolers) and the air was turned on WELL into the Spring and has been off for a couple of weeks now. Maybe I just like my apartment on the chilly side, but I find this crazy.

On more than one occasion I have had to call the 'after hours' number (which isn't always answered) because of rowdy people outside, without a response. I have informed the complex managers of the problem and there's apparently nothing that they can do.

Additionally: This is the only complex I have ever rented from that does NOT have a drop box for monthly payments. I will give them credit that their office is open 7 days a week, however, weekday hours are inconvenient unless you work very near where you live.

The most persistent problem has been ANTS. I know this may be the season for the critters, but something MUST be done... and living with the pests isn't an option, although it seems like some sort of joke to one of the office employees. I was told by said person that I had possibly dropped a sandwich behind my dresser and that is why the pests were marching along my bedroom walls. It took 4 phone calls and 4 spraying attempts (as well as the ant motels and a spray bought at a discount store... and home remedies!) to get them out of my room... they have sense spread to the bathroom, living room and kitchen.

I am FAR from a dirty person, slob or unclean, however, for some reason, these little beasts love my UPSTAIRS apartment and having the complex do anything about it is like pulling teeth.

Please REALLY consider your other options before being tied to this place by paperwork. The lack of storage, frequent noise, and abundance of little friends is something that would drive more than a few to pay the $1140 to vacate early!
