As a former longtime resident of this community, I have to say that it was better overall before the new owner and his management team let the Section 8 people in. It was quieter, cleaner, and in better repair. The laundry rooms were not constantly broken into and broken; there was no need for gates back then.
With regard to the service, the water is constantly turned off without notice, they do enter your apartment when you are not present, and the repairmen are creepy. The manager has a bad attitude when you call to report a broken gate or door lock, or that the laundry room is filthy. These issues are not resolved in a timely manner either.
They also have a sneaky habit of charging their tenants different rental fees. As far as I know, there is no mention of sliding scales depending on your income, so it should all be fair across the board, but it isn't.
